While I understand that it is important, especially in this very frightening present situation and reality in Jamaica, to emphasise on ‘survival tactics’ of the gay and lesbian community in Jamaica, to self assure ourselves that there is a certain quality of life possible in circumstances which seem to prevent exactly this, I also feel that it is self destructive and wrong to accuse local and international gay activists of politicising and using Steve’s murder for their agendas "fueled by one sided reporting of information or just plain ignorance”. Frankly I don’t understand such statements, I think Steve’s murder should be on the political agenda of human rights activists, what else?
